Alex Kurkin
Alex Kurkin focuses his practice on complex contract law, real estate law and commercial litigation matters for companies in tightly regulated industries. His ability to deftly manage complicated legal matters involving real estate title and commercial litigation, corporate/asset buy-outs, and commercial and real estate transactions make him an invaluable asset for the firm’s clients.
Kurkin represents the Florida Automobile Dealers Association and conducts compliance seminars for its members. His knowledge and grasp of accounting issues and practices makes him an invaluable automobile dealership law resource for the firm’s clients.
Kurkin regularly advises auto dealerships and other businesses on their customer sales/lease agreements in order to protect them from potential legal challenges and claims. If one of his clients becomes the target of a lawsuit, his skills as a litigator and strategist enable him to provide effective representation that typically results in favorable outcomes. He takes this same approach in pursuing legal action on behalf of his clients when litigation becomes unavoidable.
Kurkin has conducted pro-bono work for the Miami-Dade Bar Association’s “Put Something Back” program. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida in 1989 and a Juris Doctorate from the university’s law school in 1991. Kurkin is also a founding board member of the Miami Beach Health Foundation and a youth football coach.
